SPME is a novel solvent-less sample preparation technique, involving extraction, concentration and introduction of analytes in a single step.

All TriPlus movements are step-by-step controlled ensuring reliable operations for thousands of samples. The same controls permit automatic alignment procedures and self-recognition of all available accessories (solvent stations, bar code readers, incubation heated oven, vial tray holders and type) making for quick installation of the autosampler and easy start-up.
The TriPlus autosampler is available in three different configurations:
TriPlus AS for injections of liquids samples. Equipped with a single or double vials tray (up to 300 vials capacity) for high sample throughput, this configuration can be combined with any Thermo Scientific GC injectors and is able to carry out any type of injection technique (from micro to large volume, from hot/empty needle to sandwich technique).
Extensive clean-up procedures with multiple solvents and full control of sample handling and injection parameters enable the operator to accomplish the injection phase in a completely automated and reliable fashion, regardless the matrix or the technique adopted.
The proprietary gastight heated syringe of the TriPlus HS makes this configuration the versatile and high performing solution for automatic introduction of gases. Combining large sample capacity (up to 108 vials tray) with design simplicity, this system is the ideal solution for routine labs looking for fast and accurate headspace analysis.
Moreover, an incubation oven with a built-in shaker will speed up phase equilibration time, thus minimizing analytical cycles in a highly reproducible manner.
The TriPlus DUO is the configuration including both liquid and headspace sampling turrets. Each turret is specifically conceived for either gas or liquid injections. The two snap-on turrets can be interchanged in seconds with no requirements for additional set-up, such as syringe or injector alignments.
